The Porsche 908/3 prepared by Brunn Racing again proved to be the quickest car in the Classic Endurance Racing Series. The team did a great job improving the car during the last months. Philipp Brunn set the quickest time in all three practice/qualifying sessions – over 5 seconds ahead of Bobby Verdon-Roe in Mike Jankowskis Ligier JS3. So far the team managed to place the car three times on pole position in three races. The qualifying time would have been quick enough to position the car on place 22 of the grid in the modern sportscar race – ahead of all Porsches 911 GT3 RSR and Ferrari 360 Modena.

At the start of the race Bobby Verdon-Roe took the lead in the more powerful Ligier. At the end of lap one Philipp Brunn overtook him and pulled away quickly. After 58 minutes of the 60 minute race Philipp’s lead over Bobby had increased to over 34 seconds. Then a disconnected cable on the fuel pump forced the car to stop. Although having this problem the Porsche 908/3 finished 3rd in the race. Bobby Verdon-Roe won the race in front of Juan Barazi in his Porsche 917.
